This code allows you to create a replacement CIC chip for N64 games that you own on an ATTiny25, ATTiny45 of ATTiny85. The original code was written by jesgdev and updated with multi-region support by saturnu.

2020年4月13日 · This page categorizes the N64 library by what CIC security chip it uses. The CIC in an N64 cartridge is simply a means of preventing unlicensed games from working on stock N64 systems. In a sense, the CIC is of no concern to the gamer.

The following list contains PAL ROM's along with the ability to change the CIC version of the ROM in order to flash & enjoy them on a reproduction cartridge with a different CIC version. The CIC version used by the ROM must match the (Ultra)CIC version used in the reproduction cartridge, otherwise the game won't boot.

The N64 console contains a special PIF chip that communicates with this CIC security chip. Once the PIF chip confirms all is Ok with the cartridge region code, only then will it allow the N64 to boot the game.
