C-131A | Catalog of Archived Suborbital Earth Science Investigations - NASA
The Convair C-131A was a twin-engine turboprop aircraft that was owned and operated by the University of Washington up until 1997. It was utilized for several aerosol and cloud research missions mainly across the Pacific Northwest.
C131 was 165 knt = 85 - the length of the y axis represents 85 x 250 = 21250 m = 23.25 km. During the evaluation of the analog records it became desirable to increase the sample rate from 5 sec to 2.5 sec (A) or 1.25 (B). This is indicated by the letter A or B respectively in the column Ymax of the tape directory.
