Current Clinical Recommendations for Use of Platelet-Rich Plasma
This review evaluates current clinical literature on the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP), including leukocyte-rich PRP (LR-PRP) and leukocyte-poor PRP (LP-PRP), in order to develop evidence-based recommendations for various musculoskeletal ...
Current Status and Advancements in Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) as a biological agent has gained popularity over the last decade or more in treating a wide variety of conditions in different fields of medicine. PRP is derived from the centrifugation of a patient’s whole blood to produce an increased concentration of autologous platelets in a small volume of plasma [1, 2].
In order to advance PRP in particular (and autologous cellular medicine therapies in general), we have developed these guidelines to assist physicians in performing safe therapies, promote patient education, encourage robust clinical research and begin to define the scope and anticipated effects of these procedures.

2025年2月21日 · Biomedicine has seen significant advancements in the 21st century, with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) playing a crucial role in clinical practice. This blood derivative, enriched with platelet components, has shown great potential for promoting tissue repair and regeneration.
Evidence-based indications of platelet-rich plasma therapy
Introduction: Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is an autologous blood-derived product that contains platelet concentrations at least 2/3 times above the normal level and includes platelet-related growth factors. The concept of PRP began in the 1970s in the field of hematology to treat patients with thrombocytopenia.
Platelet-Rich Plasma: Fundamentals and Clinical Applications
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is perhaps the most widely studied of the biologic therapies, with an ever-growing body of evidence supporting its safety and efficacy in decreasing inflammation and pain and promoting healing in the setting of both nonoperative and operative treatments. PRP is …
