The NEC does not define ranges, ovens or cooktops but based on manufacturers usage a range is a unit that has a cooktop and oven built together in one appliance. An oven is just a single or double appliance for baking , roasting, etc. A cooktop is just the burners without the oven.

2017年7月8日 · It will show up in couple spots in NEC but normally most conductors they have voltage rating so it kinda common to have low and high voltages in the conduit. but there are some area or items it is very specfic on it. There is couple arts they have power limited cable or conductors in there. so that question will varies.

2012年2月14日 · I know the codes, and what conduits or raceways to use where, but I need to convince this customer what he did was wrong and cant find where it says "you cant use that pvc." I hope you understand what Im asking. The customer wants NEC proof, and I cant seem to find the wording that says what you cant use on the roof.

2014年5月25日 · The NEC says "A load where the current is expected to exist for three hours or more, such as store or parking lot lighting." So the freezer and refrigeration definitely, during busy times in sure ovens stay on longer than 3 hours though. Are they exempt because it isn't a definite everyday? 2024年6月24日 · I did not do the 2023 NEC yet but in the 2020, was there something about no receptacles within 5 feet of the shower or tub space? Also was there something about indoor wet locations such as an atrium or green house. Maybe the inspector is applying that to the bathroom if the shower door is left open and there is water spraying out.
