NGC 1452 (or NGC 1455) is a barred lenticular galaxy in the constellation Eridanus. Located 80 million light years away, it is one of the farther galaxies of the Eridanus cluster, a cluster of approximately 200 galaxies.

NGC 1452 is a Lenticular Galaxy in the Eridanus constellation. NGC 1452 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year.

It is a magnitude 12.5 galaxy which spans 3 arc-minutes in our apparent view. This corresponds to a diameter of 70,000 light years. This galaxy is part of the Eridanus cluster of approximately 200 galaxies, discovered by William Herschel in 1785. I love this structure – a barlense across the inner region, spanning a mid-disk ring.
