NGC 201 is a spiral galaxy in the constellation of Cetus. It is one of the group members of HCG 7, with the other group members NGC 192 , NGC 196 , and NGC 197 . It was discovered on December 28, 1790 by William Herschel .

NGC 201 is a Spiral Galaxy in the Cetus constellation. NGC 201 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year. Given its B magnitude of 14.7, NGC 201 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 20 inches (500mm) or more.
