NGC 2064 (also designated as LBN 1627) is a reflection nebula that is located 1600 light years away from earth [2] in the constellation Orion. It was discovered on January 11, 1864 by Heinrich d'Arrest. [1] It is part of a group of nebulae that includes Messier 78, NGC 2071 and NGC 2067.

NGC 2064 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year. 2024年12月30日 · Late last night I concluded gathering eight hours of LRGB data of the reflection nebulae M-78, NGC-2071 and NGC-2064 from my Bortle 8 driveway. Also in the frame are the dark nebula LDN-1627 Bernes 106 and HH-24. The elusive MeNeil's Nebula does not appear in the image though.
