NGC 4026 is a Lenticular Galaxy in the Ursa Major constellation. NGC 4026 is situated north of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the northern hemisphere. Given its B magnitude of 12.17, NGC 4026 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 8 inches (200mm) or more.

NGC 4026 is a very good S0 which shows a multi-zone structure with a slight twist along its major axis. The thin disk section on each side of the major axis is very slightly curved.

NGC 4026 is a Lenticular Galaxy that is seen nearly edge on. At low power when looking for the galaxy, the only part of the galaxy noticed is the star-like nucleus. It is not difficult to detect. With an increase of magnification, plus a little observing time the extended thin north-south extensions of the galaxy manifest themselves.
