NGC 4147 is a Globular Cluster in the Coma Berenices constellation. NGC 4147 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year.

We redetermine the fundamental parameters of NGC 4147 and find that the cluster is 11.0 Gyr old, has a metallicity of Z = 0.0006, and is located 18.5 kpc from the Sun. We utilize the matched filter algorithm to identify extratidal structures in the surrounding sky of NGC 4147.
