NGC 4527 - Intermediate Spiral Galaxy in Virgo - theskylive.com
NGC 4527 is a Intermediate Spiral Galaxy in the Virgo constellation. NGC 4527 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year.
Webb Deep-Sky Society: Galaxy of the Month: NGC4527
Finding black holes in bulgeless galaxies is unusual. In 1981 NGC 4536 was home to supernova 1981B, a Type 1a that reached a maximum magnitude of 12.3, well within reach of amateur telescopes. NGC 4536 is part of the Herschel 400 program so it can be seen with small telescopes of around 20cm aperture.
