NGC 4546 - Wikipedia
NGC 4546 is a lenticular field galaxy located in the direction of the constellation Virgo, [2] with a total population of globular clusters estimated at 390. [3] It is a member of the Virgo II Groups, a series of galaxies and galaxy clusters strung out from the southern edge of the Virgo Supercluster. [4]
[2005.13697] Measuring the mass of the supermassive black hole …
2020年5月27日 · In this work, we used new AO assisted Near-Infrared Integral Field Spectrometer (NIFS) observations and also photometric data from the Hubble Space Telescope Legacy Archive of the galaxy NGC 4546 in order to determine its SMBH mass.
NGC 4546, the Double-Spin SB0 - SpringerLink
NGC 4546 is a barred S0 seen almost edge-on whose stellar disc is cut on the equatorial plane by a disc of gas rotating in the opposite direction and with relative circular velocities as great as 400 km sec −1.
IFU observations of the inner 200 pc of NGC 4546: gas rotation, …
2022年10月18日 · We present a detailed analysis of the ionised gas distribution and kinematics in the inner ~ 200 pc of NGC 4546, host of a Low Luminosity Active Galactic Nucleus (LLAGN).
IFU observations of the inner 200 pc of NGC 4546: gas rotation, …
2022年10月25日 · We used GMOS-IFU observations of the inner 200 pc of NGC 4546 to map the gas distribution and kinematics at an angular resolution of ∼60 pc. Our main conclusions are: Using emission-line ratio diagnostic diagrams, we confirm that the nuclear emission of NGC 4546 is consistent with emission of gas photoionized by an AGN.

Some important notes on this object about identifications and objects associations. The link on the acronym of the identifiers give access to the information for this acronym in the dictionary of nomenclature. Simbad bibliographic survey began in 1850 for stars (at least bright stars) and in 1983 for all other objects (outside the solar system).
Located some 45.6 million light years away, NGC 4546 is a nearly edge-on, lenticular (S0) galaxy with a stellar mass of about 27 billion solar masses. So far, only one study of its globular...
Detection of Retrograde Gas Streaming in the SB0 Galaxy NGC 4546
Spectroscopic observations are reported of the almost edge-on SB0 galaxy NGC 4546 which reveal a striking discordance between the derived emission and absorption-line velocities. The gas clouds show velocities that are similar in amplitude but opposite in direction from the stars.
