NGC 459, also known as UGC 832, MCG 3-4-17, ZWG 459.24, and PGC 4665, [4] is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Pisces. [1] It was discovered on October 15, 1784 , by William Herschel . [ 5 ] It was described as being extremely faint by John Dreyer in the New General Catalogue .

NGC 459 is a Spiral Galaxy in the Pisces constellation. NGC 459 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year. Given its B magnitude of 15.7, NGC 459 is visible only through long exposure photography.
