NGC 6153 - Wikipedia
NGC 6153 is a planetary nebula in the southern constellation Scorpius. It was discovered in 1883 by English astronomer Ralph Copeland. [6] This nebula has been observed using telescopes with apertures as small as 80 mm (3.1 in), but a rich Milky Way background can make it difficult to find.
Hubble View of a Nitrogen-Rich Nebula - Science@NASA
2015年6月26日 · This NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope image shows a planetary nebula named NGC 6153, located about 4,000 light-years away in the southern constellation of Scorpius (The Scorpion). The faint blue haze across the frame shows what remains of a star like the sun after it has depleted most of its fuel.

We have obtained deep optical spectra of the planetary nebula NGC 6153, both along its minor axis and by uniformly scanning a long slit across the whole nebula.
NGC 6153 is a bright, southern planetary nebula that has played an important part in the abundance discrepancy problem. The abundance discrepancy was rst noted by Wyse fi (1942 ), who observed permitted lines of O II and found that they indicated a much higher oxygen abundance than the forbidden [O III lines that originate from the same O2 + ions.

We present deep spectroscopy of three Galactic planetary nebulae (PNe) with large abundance discrepancy factors: NGC 6153, M 1-42 and Hf 2-2. The spectra were obtained with Very Large Telescope/Ultraviolet and Visual Echelle Spectrograph and cover the whole optical range (3040–11 000 Å) with a spectral resolution of ∼20 000.
