NGC 6975, [4] also known as NGC 6976, is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Aquarius. The object was discovered on 12 July 1864 by the German astronomer Albert Marth. NGC 6975 is part of Hickson Compact Group 88, along with NGC 6977, NGC 6978, and MCG-01-53-014.

NGC 6975 is a Intermediate Spiral Galaxy in the Aquarius constellation. NGC 6975 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year.

The NGC designations from left to right are 6975, 6976, 6977, and 6978. If you click to enlarge the image you may see several more smaller galaxies. Colors in the image are enhanced via Photoshop saturation techniques to show the difference between various regions in the galaxies.
