NGC 936 is a moderately bright barred spiral galaxy located in the constellation Cetus. The galaxy is almost face-on and so appears almost circular in the telescope. The other 2 bright galaxies in the field are NGC 941 (magnitude 12.2) to the left, and PGC 9394 (magnitude 14.6) near the bottom of the image.
