NGC 999 is an intermediate spiral galaxy located in the constellation Andromeda about 195 million light-years from the Milky Way. [3] It was discovered by French astronomer Edouard Stephan on 8 December 1871.

NGC 999 est une galaxie spirale intermédiaire située dans la constellation d'Andromède. Sa vitesse par rapport au fond diffus cosmologique est de 4 192 ± 32 km/s, ce qui correspond à une distance de Hubble de 61,8 ± 4,4 Mpc (∼202 millions d'al) [1]. NGC 999 a été découverte par l'astronome français Édouard Stephan en 1871.

NGC 999 is a Intermediate Spiral Galaxy in the Perseus constellation. NGC 999 is situated north of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the northern hemisphere. Given its B magnitude of 14.5, NGC 999 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 20 inches (500mm) or more.
