2007年6月6日 · Contact NGK about the difference between AI-8 (their specs exist, so you can draw some conclusions) and AI-10, iridium plugs are usually just better at longer maintenance intervals, I'd prefer a dual electrode over a single electrode one any day. But without knowing what makes the -10 a -10 I'd be careful for the time being.

2019 R1250GSA: Here are my plugs after 34,000 miles. These are the original plugs installed by BMW LMAR8AI-10. I will be changing them at 12,000 mi in the future, maybe trying the LMAR9AI-10 colder plug.

2019年8月5日 · I have also had the original OEM plugs on my 2020 R1250GS do this. I doubt BMW purchased fakes. In researching this problem, I found a post on another forum where a poster had this problem and consulted NGK about it. NGK's response was that the plugs were too hot. I installed cooler LMAR9AI-10 plugs and never had an issue with fouling.
