The trainers ensure compliance with the Attorney General’s K9 Training Standards and utilizing the certification methods set forth by the United States Police Canine Association. They also conduct monthly in-service training.
These standards pertain to basic K-9 training and qualification, in-service training and re-evaluation, K-9 instructor qualifications, and K-9 training sites or facilities.
