2024年10月16日 · These cameras have NKK leaf-shutters and lenses marked Wester, Wescon or Welcon that were made in house. The Wester Chrome Six (1951) is a simple viewfinder model with double-exposure prevention and the ability to switch between 6x6 and 6x4.5 formats using a mask in the film chamber.

2010年12月17日 · After World War II, the company made a newer Wester shutter in #00 size. The speeds are engraved on the rim in the order B, 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200. Most examples display the manufacturer's initials N.K.K. (for N ishida K ōgaku K ōgyō) at the base of the rim, and the name WESTER either at the top or at the bottom of the front plate.

2024年6月25日 · I kind of impulsively bought into another folder recently: An NKK (Nishida Kōgaku Kōgyō) Super Wester: It's a dual format (645/6x6) folder, made in Japan post-war to 1958. I can find precious little on this particular camera (other than a few posts and a wiki article). It seems pretty nice - coupled rangefinder, coated lens, leather skin.

2013年11月19日 · Now, yesterday I bought a 6x6 rangefinder made by Nishida Kogaku Kogyo (NKK): the Super Wester-S2. It was cheap so I didn't pass up on this one. If it still works is anyone's guess, but it looks very nice. There's not much to be found on the net about NKK and the Wester cameras apart from the info on Camerapedia.

2024年6月15日 · The Semi Wester (セミウエスター) is a Japanese 4.5×6 folding camera made around 1951 by Nishida. It was followed by the Wester 6×6 folders. The postwar Semi Wester is a horizontal folder with straight diagonal struts. The main body shows some similarity to the late variant of the Apollo and to the postwar Semi Proud made by Sumida.
