Nickel Plate Road No. 777 is a class S-3 2-8-4 "Berkshire" Type steam locomotive built in 1949 by Lima for the New York, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad, commonly referred to as the "Nickel Plate Road". This type of locomotive was served mainly as freight haulers across Ohio and Indiana while operating on the Nickel Plate Road railroad.

Sold to Luria Bros 4/14/61. Dismantled by Great Lakes Scrap Co Erie PA. Probably taken a few weeks before storage at Conneaut.

2024年11月12日 · The more I study these pics the more this Berkshire resembles a mix of Good Tin Plate, high scale O gauge and a Christmas Ornament. This will be the best looking steamer in my fleet. I am very pleased as it also incorporates the best that Legacy has to offer at this time. I plan to add it to my Wabash consist for the near term.
