The Visible Human Project - National Library of Medicine
2023年12月26日 · The NLM Visible Human Project has created publicly-available complete, anatomically detailed, three-dimensional representations of a human male body and a human female body. Specifically, the VHP provides a public-domain library of cross-sectional cryosection, CT, and MRI images obtained from one male cadaver and one female cadaver.

NLM based magnetic resonance image denoising – A review
2019年1月1日 · This paper compares various NLM based MRI denoising techniques with respect to their performance and run-time. Quantitative analysis has been provided with a wide number of performance metrics such as PSNR, SSIM, UQI, BC and Contrast.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Principles and Techniques: Lessons …
In this article, the principles of MRI are reviewed, with further discussion of specific clinical applications such as parallel, diffusion-weighted, and magnetization transfer imaging. MR spectroscopy is also considered, with an overview of key metabolites and …
Magnetic resonance imaging - PMC
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) uses the body's natural magnetic properties to produce detailed images from any part of the body. For imaging purposes the hydrogen nucleus (a single proton) is used because of its abundance in water and fat. The hydrogen proton can be likened to the planet earth, spinning on its axis, with a north-south pole.
The Visible Human Project - Getting the Data - National Library of Medicine
2023年12月26日 · The initial aim of the Visible Human Project ® was to create a digital image dataset of complete human male and female cadavers in MRI, CT and anatomical modes. The male dataset consists of axial MR images of the head and neck taken at 4 mm intervals and longitudinal sections of the remainder of the body also at 4 mm intervals.
MRI denoising using Non-Local Means - ScienceDirect
2008年8月1日 · In the present work, a recently proposed filter for random noise removal is analyzed and adapted to reduce this noise in MR magnitude images. This parametric filter, named Non-Local Means (NLM), is highly dependent on the setting of its parameters. The aim of this paper is to find the optimal parameter selection for MR magnitude image denoising.
MRI de-noising using improved unbiased NLM filter
2022年1月8日 · In this paper, we develop a robust de-noising mechanism to recover MR images degraded by Gaussian and Rician noise. Here, multi-resolution approach is combined with the non-local mean (NLM) filter to design an unbiased NLM filter. The noise variance is calculated from the complex dataset assuming the noise is distributed in Gaussian nature.
