2015年8月1日 · The NR3C1 gene codes for the glucocorticoid receptor, a key element involved in several steps of HPA axis modulation. In this review, we gather existing evidence linking NR3C1 methylation pattern with either ELS or psychopathology.

NR3C1 encodes a 94-kDa protein that includes three classical domains: the N-terminal domain, the central DNA binding domain, and the C-terminal ligand binding domain . It contains eight coding exons (exon 2–9) and at least nine tissue-specific noncoding exon 1s with alternative splice sites (7,8).
