nrex 9402 Description: This was a former SD45T-2 motor. the radiator section has been changed over to a standard SD40-2. if it had been a standard SD40-2 from the start the front wall of the cab would be centered over the 2nd axle.

SP/SSW SD45T-2 9402 became CEFX 9402, and should be on lease to RailAmerica. As I said, this is National Railway Equipment #9402. It has a fresh coat of gray paint, NREX on the side of the long hood and a conventional SD40 body.

2007年11月19日 · NREX SD40-2 9402 was built as Cotton Belt SD45T-2 9402. It was later folded into the Southern Pacific roster as SP 9402. After SP was absorbed by UP, the unit was sold off and NREX rebuilt it as an SD40-2 with an old Norfolk Southern long hood, giving this unique unit the longest back porch of any 40-2 out there.
