The GE U33C is a 6-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by GE Transportation Systems between January 1968 and January 1975. [1] 375 examples of this locomotive were built for 11 North American railroads and one construction contractor. 5701 was wrecked and never wore the BN Cascade Green.

2025年1月1日 · The U33C was General Electric's first six-motored model to sport a noticeably flared rear radiator; needed to handle the unit's 3,300 horsepower. The model sold relatively well for GE with some 375 units out-shopped by the time production ended in 1975.

We are looking for pics of the Norfolk Southerns Hi Hood U33C's. These were inherited from Southern, the only info I have on them is that they retained their Southern road numbers (3805-3814). They went to NS in June of 82 and were fased out and retire

All original locos were painted in the lightning stripe scheme, and #758 was the only U33C to receive the all blue and yellow nose stripes. The ex-Conrail locomotives retained their Conrail blue for some time.
