The Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provides coverage to low- and moderate-income children. Like Medicaid, it is jointly funded and administered by Nevada and the federal government. It was originally called the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP).

The Children’s Health Insurance Program was established by Congress to provide access to affordable health insurance for children in working, low-income families.

Nevada's current Medicaid program covers children up to age 6 in families with income up to 133 percent of the FPL; children from age 6 through 13 in families with income up to 100 percent of the FPL; and, children age 14 through 18 in families with income up to 33 percent of the FPL.

2016年11月15日 · Nevada Check Up is the State of Nevada’s Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Depending on your income, your kids may qualify for coverage through Nevada Check Up. If you qualify, you will be required to pay a quarterly premium, but won’t be responsible for things like co-payments and deductibles.
