2022年10月9日 · well 1 gen3-4 nvme will stil lbe faster then 4 x 4TB in R10. I have 4x4TB in Raid-0 for my gaming drive and the nVME i have is still faster because of the SATA6G limitation. Also this is the fastest ive gotten on 10gbe.

2022年1月27日 · 4 x 4TB runs about $800 shipped 8TB x 2 U.2 same price but, in my instance would switch from R10 to R1 Bumping back to a 16TB array though would be a significant change in affordability at ~$2000 / R1. But, considering the higher capacity being the same price as 8TB NVME M2 dives it's considerably more affordable at 50% of the cost for capacity.

2023年8月2日 · Yeah, the Exos was before going nvme. I did spot they have a new one out though x22 / 20tb. Single disk to backup the array might be something to do as the drives age a bit. On my wd reds though I haven't had any reason to add more drives in 8 years.

2003年3月15日 · I used Intel RST for years on these same drives on an old i5 3570 system with an Intel mobo (DH77KC), in RAID-0, with absolutely no issues. I don't think the array took much time to build up either (only a RAID-0 array after all). Anyway, I just did a Secure Erase on both drives in BIOS, restarted BIOS, and still nothing detected by RST in BIOS.
