2022年12月31日 · UFS 4.0 is at PCIexpress 3.0 write speeds and at PCIexpress 4.0 Read speeds. I really doubt iphones flash storage is faster, actually chances are it's slower. Apple hasn't advertised flash storage performance in a long time and neither have Apple dedicated sites most likely because it doesn't have a performance advantage vs UFS.

UFS 2.1 writes data to the flash faster than eMMC 5.1 can be read. To put things into bigger perspective, the UFS 4.0 which was just released by Samsung with Jedec's approval can do 4,200MB/s of read speed.

ZFS is preferred > 4GB ram for any system, and UFS otherwise on FreeBSD or XFS on Linux. AES-NI works wonders for most compression workloads, but ZFS can specify various types of algos and compression strength when deployed to hosts without AES-NI.

2024年3月24日 · I zipped it with WinRAR (no compression) to make it faster to transfer. Zipping it with WinRAR took less than 2 minutes. However unzipping it on my phone (S23 ultra with ufs 4.0) took like 30 minutes. My laptop ssd I installed myself is only rated at 3500 MB/s. Upon google search for ufs 4.0 can reach 5800 MB/s.
