Oldest Material in Solar System Found - National Geographic
2010年8月23日 · The 3-pound (1.5-kilogram) parent meteorite, dubbed NWA 2364, was found in 2004 in Morocco and is believed to have originated from the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. But the tests reveal...

We recently described a cm-sized lithic inclusion (LI) in the NWA 2364 CV3OxA chon-drite that shows significant evidence of secondary al-teration and metasomatism [7,8]. In this study, we have used trace element analyses by LA-ICP-MS and syn-chrotron-based XANES of Cr, Ti and V valences to understand the complex alteration of the LI more fully.
U–Pb chronology of the Solar System's oldest solids with variable …
2010年12月1日 · In a recently published Pb isotopic study of a CAI from CV chondrite NWA 2364, Bouvier and Wadhwa (2010) proposed to use the Th/U or Nd/U ratios as proxies to U isotopic variations on the basis of correlations between 238 U/ 235 U and 232 Th/ 238 U or 144 Nd/ 238 U ratios in CAIs reported by Brennecka et al. (2010a) that have been attributed to ...
In this study, we have examined the relationship between the host rock and a large lithic inclusion(LI) in the NWA 2364OxA chondrite using mineralogical and stable isotopic techniques to better understand their alteration histories, as well as the relative timing of …

Solar System may be 2 million years older than we ... - ScienceDaily
2010年8月25日 · Seeking better constraints on the age of the Solar System, researchers analyzed meteorite Northwest Africa (NWA) 2364 and found that the age of the Solar System predates previous estimates by up...
Here we describe the structure, mineralogy and petrology of a very large, deformed Ca-, Al-rich inclusion in a new CV3 chondrite, NWA 2364 (CV3) AMNH 5035. This remarkable CAI is 18mm in largest apparent diameter, appears cup-shaped (hence “the crucible”), and envelops a portion of the host chondrite.
NWA 2364 meteorite calcium-aluminium-rich inclusions
Cut surface of NWA 2364 which contains among other materials interstellar abiotic organic compounds and nanodiamonds and the calcium-aluminium-rich inclusions (14 mm size grey object, arrow) from which the oldest isotopic age was extracted.
