Necrobiotic Xanthogranuloma (NXG) is a non-Langerhans cell histiocytosis with multisystem involvement that commonly affects the skin and periorbital structures. There has recently been development of diagnostic criteria for this disease which include physical exam findings, pathologic analysis, and laboratory test abnormalities.
