NXP Cup, an autonomous car competition, is designed to provide students real-world experience with autonomous vehicles. The model autonomous vehicles used in NXP Cup are small and priced for students—but offer students the valuable opportunity to use real-world autonomous vehicle software in a competitive setting.

The board uses the Kinetis ® K series MCU family built on the Arm Cortex-M4 processor and is intended for the NXP CUP challenge. The processing unit connects with sensing systems (e.g. camera) and actuators (e.g. servo or brushed motors).

Finally we introduce an intelligent camera into the Cup, the Pixy 2 camera. This camera has its own MCU and does line tracking or colored block detection by itself.
The NXP Cup 2023/2024 is a brand-new season focused on simplifying the challenge to allow students to focus on learning, fun and great performance. All legacy Model-C, Alamak and DFRobot cars are allowed as well as any other car kit if the electronics are within the rules.
