6 天之前 · The first step to become a New York State Trooper is your application to take the New York State Trooper Entrance Examination. Please read the text in the box to the left carefully to determine if you are qualified. Instructions on how to apply are below. The examination will be given at Pearson VUE testing centers.

Know the requirements to take the exam and before an appointment. Must be a citizen of the United States and be at least 20 years old by date of application. Must apply prior to 35th birthday. The maximum age may be extended one year for each year of full-time active military duty - up to a maximum of 7 years.
