New York State Route 8 (NY 8) is a 207.45-mile-long (333.86 km) north-south state highway in the central part of New York in the United States. It runs in a southwest-to-northeast direction from the Southern Tier to the northern part of Lake George .

2022年11月4日 · NY Route 8 goes straight through the Central Adirondacks which boast more wilderness, less people and lower prices than the High Peaks-Placid-Saranac region or the Northway, I-87, Lake Champlain corridor. My NY 8 site starts from Utica at the Thruway ends in Hague on Lake George. The route is a line that traverses the Central 'Daks SW to NW.

NY 8 was realigned onto a freeway from Clayville to New Hartford in the early 1970s. From there, NY 8 overlaps with NY 5 and NY 12 north along Utica's North-South Arterial. The freeway originally continued into New Hartford Street prior to the construction of NY 840 in 2005.

NY 8 and NY 10 begin at the Quickway (NY 17/Future I-86). They are multiplexed about a mile through Deposit.
