New York, Susquehanna and Western Railroad No. 206 is a preserved S-2 class diesel switcher locomotive on display in at the Maywood Station Museum in Maywood, New Jersey. No. 206 was built by ALCO in 1942 for the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railroad (NYS&W), as part of their process to dieselize their locomotive roster.

NYSW 206 is on home rails for the first time in years. It is destined for Maywood and cosmetic restoration. Former NYS&W 206 sits on home rails awaiting the rest of the journey from the PSE&G yard to the Maywood station. The Conrail transfer caboose behind it also came from the URHS collection.

2017年5月19日 · October 14, 2008 - NYSW 206, the only surviving Susquehanna Alco S2, is moved to Maywood, NJ and put on display. cosmetic restoration is underway by the Maywood Station Historical Committee.

NYS&W S-2 #206 wore three paint schemes during its career on the NYS&W - the original, as-delivered 1942 scheme of maroon and grey body with black underframe; the 1950's scheme of aluminum body with maroon stripe and black underframe; and the 1960's scheme of aluminum body and black underframe.

The nose of NYS&W 206 is illuminated by the headlight of a Susquehanna SD40T-2 as it performs some switching moves just west of Maywood Station. The 206 was cosmetically restored to this 1950s-er... NYSW 206 : With the three EMD GP18s now belonging to the East Penn Railroad, off working their various branchlines, this Alco has become the only NYS&W locomotive in the Garden State from the pre Delaware Otsego years. The Maywood Station Museum collection also includes original New York, Susquehanna & Western Railroad ALCO Type S-2 Locomotive #206, which has also been restored by Maywood Station Historical Committee members. On September 10, 2009, NYS&W S-2 #206 was placed on the State of New Jersey Register of Historical Places.
