The C268 is built on Hypex UcD Class D amplifier modules so in testing it we will get coverage on that as well. Then again NAD says it is a custom version for them.

2020年6月23日 · The Pro-Ject Amp Box DS2 use the UcD102 from the same Hypex UcD series as this NAD C268 (Amp Box Mono uses the UcD180LP). The Yamaha R-S700 power section bi-amped on the AB speaker outs sounded quite fine (a touch better than my vintage NAD C320BEE for instance) until I switched in the Amp Boxes.

2019年12月5日 · I use NAD C268 to drive a couple of 111db sensitive compression drivers. The reason for picking up NAD C268 was XLR inputs, but mainly the gain adjustment. Low gain in the amplifier has proved to be the key in my system for preventing hiss noise from the speakers. I am curious to know if reducing the gain will improve SINAD on this amp?

2020年6月23日 · For that reason, I started researching whether a 2-channel powered amp would be prudent to drive the towers, and came across the NAD C268 as a potential option when perusing Crutchfield. Idea here being Onkyo amp handles center channel, NAD handles towers.-Is this an advisable route?-Is piecemealing amps a bad idea for non-stereo listening?

2016年3月9日 · NAD doesn't play in the odd-numbered multichannel power amp market, (3,5,7,9,11-channels) and is a traditional retail-market manufacturer. This means higher overhead through the distribution channels and resulting higher prices than with the new module-based, direct-sales market with its assembled units and kits like my Ghent/ICEpower units.

2019年10月25日 · Generally speaking however, the IcePower modules are a bit behind... so I'd guess the PA-1 wouldn't be any better (re Nad C268) - likely a bit worse in some areas. On the other hand... I apparently don't listen critically to any of those areas. LOL.

2023年8月30日 · NAD is one of the exceptions in major brands to offer an amplifier with Purifi module in it. That comes at a premium in retail cost due to channel and brand overhead. The C298 delivers excellent performance with just some minor issues in variable gain and idle noise. I am going to put the NAD C298 on my recommended list.

2020年2月24日 · The idea is to operate the two amplifers in the C368 in bridged mode. That is supposed to operate as a mono amp, giving 300W into 8 ohms. The C268 is a stereo amp. In bridged mode, it becomes a 300W/channel mono amp, providing the second channel for the C368. I did that with an NAD integrated amp and a stereo power amp, back in the 1980s.
