2012年11月14日 · The IV-S was Nagra's first product designed for the music industry, but the machine also had a time code option for synchronization between the recorder and a film camera. Wealthy audiophiles also bought them, possibly because the IV-S, like all Nagras, was built to higher quality standards than most high-end gear.

Built like a tank, quietest background sound ever, best preamps and sweet sound. When I saw it first time it looked like a UFO not from the past but from the future J! Probably it’s the best tape machine ever manufactured. Can be used by audiophile guys and in sound and film industries. It was a film industry standard from 1070s.

Nagra IV-S – Stereo Nagra, recording two-track stereo. It had dual level pots, limiters, and equalizer presets. It was introduced in 1971. It originally employed a 14 kHz sync signal that is not compatible with the earlier Neopilot sync.
