Have you ever seen a DVD player with only four buttons, four LEDs and a five-bit display? It is the one and only - DVD 5. It is very good that, while designing its first DVD player, Naim engineers did not make changes in the appearance of the front panel, in the chassis design and in general in their concept. Only one thing confuses.

One thing I have learned from this audition ... just because a piece of hi-fi equipment sounds great in one system that does not mean it will sound great in yours, and vice versa. The DVD5 sounded fabulous in the all Naim system, not so wonderful in the very expensive, high end Classé/B&W system and wonderful in mine.

As I,m in the market for a top class DVD player I,m split between spending a small fortune on this SD player or splashing out on Hi Def. Your thoughts and recomendations would be much appreciated.

2018年10月4日 · I just bought s/h DVD5 and I am more than happy with its CD performance. However, with DVDs in 5.1 with no menu options for selection of 2 channel sound, the sound is very bad and very quiet.
