Its initials stand for "nested box loudspeaker," and it's more or less a cross between the two-way SBL ("separate box loudspeaker") and a decidedly larger three-way, the DBL ("decoupled box loudspeaker").

Frequency response: 25Hz-20kHz ±3dB in-room. Nominal impedance: 4 ohms minimum. Sensitivity: 92dB/W/m. Power handling: 150W (music).

The NBL's are known for their clever architecture where the tweeter and mid-range are housed inside a simple enclosure, but floated in the larger cabinet housing the bass drivers. Since they're fully active they come with a Naim SNAXO 3-6N electronic crossover and HI-CAP power supply.

2019年11月11日 · I am considering trying (buying as no home demo is available) some NBL’s in my system. The SBL’s are great but with a complete 500 series system I am wondering what the SBL’s maybe holding back! As good as they are, and they are good, I can’t help but think a speaker that Naim designed to be a flagship model at the time would be better.

2023年3月31日 · Is the NBL from the last year of production - 2004, worth buying today? And if so, does anyone have any insights, what is the difference between them and the S600? I have NBLs paired with Nac52 /Supercap DR, 3 Nap 250s. The sound is excellent and better replacement would be close to $20K.
