VASGBI was a stakeholder in NAP7 that studied peri-operative cardiac arrest in the UK over a 12-month period, from 16 June 2021 to 15 June 2022. 2023年11月17日 · Bradycardic cardiac arrest had the highest rate of successful resuscitation and survival to hospital discharge at the time of reporting to NAP7 (86% and 60%), and pulseless electrical activity the lowest (68% and 34%). Patient factors were a key cause in 82% of cases of perioperative cardiac arrest, anaesthesia in 40% and surgery in 35%.

2024年2月18日 · The most common causes of cardiac arrest were major haemorrhage (8, 20%); severe hypoxaemia (7, 17%); and bradyarrhythmia (7, 17%). Of the 36 cardiac arrests in infants, 19 (53%) occurred postoperatively after discharge from recovery, which was a higher proportion than in other age groups.
