2018年3月19日 · Because of NAPS2's CLI version, I was able to script it so that all a user needs to do is double-click a scan icon on their desktop to have the scanner automatically scan whatever is loaded (if the feeder tray is empty, scan from glass) and save to a PDF file in the user's My Documents folder named with that days date.

2019年3月12日 · Mike, I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure there's a learning curve to NAPS2, and I've been sick with the creeping crud (very bad cold) for a couple of weeks and have gotten way behind on tutorials for teaching Windows 10 to my Senior Citizen peers. IOW, I just don't have time to get up to speed with NAPS2 again and get ready for class tomorrow.

Better handling of imported PDFs, turning NAPS2 into a capable PDF editor and OCR program. All of NAPS2's core scanning functionality (and PDF, OCR, etc.) can be used by .NET developers with the NAPS2.Sdk Nuget packages. WIA, TWAIN, SANE, and ESCL drivers are all supported on their respective platforms with a single easy-to-use API.

2022年2月17日 · For all new installations, I installed the TWAIN driver + ScanSnap or whatever scanning software Fujitsu provided. It's been a while but either ScanSnap or NAPS2 would prompt for either WIA or TWAIN when you tried to scan. When we ran into trouble, we'd uninstall everything, & remove the registry entries. Worst case: reimage the PC.

2021年2月2日 · I finally had some time to install and make some test scans with NAPS2. I'm stunned, such a clear and logical UI, OCR kinda works (need to check out the multi language OCR option available via command line), and it does generate a fairly good sized PDF out of a 300 DPI scan. I still need to read about the differences between WIA and TWAIN.

It's got a simple UI, a fair amount of customization, and a handful of basic editing features built in (one of which is an automated deskew). ScanTailor Advanced (downloads are in the sidebar, labeled as "Releases") is a little more complex.
