The M5 was the common horn on the Western Pacific, Southern, Atlantic Coast Line, Seaboard Air Line, Richmond Fredricksburg & Potomac, Baltimore & Ohio, Chesapeake & Ohio, and other eastern railroads. Southern Pacific had M5's on many of their passenger service locomotives.

Nathan Manufacturing, Inc. is a division of Micro Precision Group which manufactures Airchime, Ltd. train horns mainly for North America. It is one of two major train horn manufacturers in the United States, with Leslie Controls, Inc. being the other.

Ex Louisville and Nashville M5, fully re-machined by Mike Muha of South Bay Horn Works. When I found this horn it was in rough shape, it had a broken #4 power chamber and cracked manifold. I found a replacement power chamber and reused the old button back cap and diaphragm discs.
