Nendo is a Japanese design firm founded in 2002 by Oki Sato, that works on design projects globally. The first office was situated in Tokyo. In 2005, the second office was established in Milan. The company works with numerous brands and have won multiple awards over the course of 17 years of establishment.

The Nendo studio is a team of forty young designers and architects engaged in the development of over two hundred projects per year. It stands out for its exceptional design freedom and ability to create simple, practical and surprising objects and furnishings. In 2005, Nendo opened an office in Milan and in 2012 in Singapore.

International and multidisciplinary design studio Nendo was founded in 2002 by Oki Sato. Born in Toronto in 1977, he studied architecture at Tokyo’s Waseda University. His first visit to the Salone del Mobile inspired him to broaden his creative field.

For their first collaboration with the gallery, ghost stories (2009), nendo designed a dreamlike interior for forty of their acclaimed Cabbage Chairs (2009).

He earned his master's degree from Waseda in 2002 and founded design studio Nendo that same year.
