NERV Headquarters (NERV本部, NERV Honbu?) (also shortened to NERV HQ) is NERV 's sprawling primary base of operations. Built in the subterranean GeoFront cavern under Tokyo-3, the base was mostly completed by the year 2003. It is the command center for all of NERV's operations across the globe.

The entire complex appears to be completely automated, with only Gendo, Fuyutsuki, Rei, Kaworu, and now Shinji the only living people shown within.
