Not junkyard cells, not rebalanced cells, not new as of the year 2012 that have since sat on a shelf discharging, but brand spanking new, just produced, and they are both functionally equivalent and mechanically equivalent.

2024年11月8日 · The problem is that the Gen 4/Gen 5 Prius/Prius Prime battery-management system likes to keep the SOC around 70–90% and won’t charge the battery much no matter how long you drive the car except once in every 20 driving hours. This could sometimes result in the SOC getting too low.

2025年1月18日 · I am really disappointed in my brand new 2024 Prius LE and am considering turning the lease back over. The car body has been re-designed to have a front and back end that bulges out in width. The interior is over-designed with alerts that "talk" unendingly (yes I turned them off). The interior is NOT designed for a smaller person.

I know its history. 3k at most freeway miles to dealer 170 miles away (reno) for service and a couple of recall fixes until warranty expired.

2018年1月27日 · It seemed like that, had it accepted the new key fob to begin with, it would have only taken 5 minutes to program it. So to summarize the facts for getting a new key fob for a 2015 Prius-- A brand new key fob can only be bought from a Toyota dealership, which will cost $200+.

Alas, the cheaper, rebuilt batteries are having a high number of reported failures. The genuine Toyota battery used to be the only and very expensive solution, but the price has come down dramatically.

This is proprietary software that Toyota service technicians use to work on Toyota vehicles.
