2021年10月18日 · We’re one big happy family! Ria Renouf is taking us through the merging of NEWS 1130 and CityNews Vancouver, which is now officially CityNews 1130!

News 1130 (CKWX) is a commercial AM radio station served the Greater Vancouver area at 1130 frequency, and located the in the Fairview neighborhood. The station launched on April 1, 1923 by Arthur “Sparks” Holstead.

On February 8, 1996, at 8 a.m., after playing "For the Good Times" by Ray Price, CKWX ended its country music format after almost 23 years and switched to its present all-news format as "News 1130". Tom Mark was the first announcer under the new format.

2024年8月5日 · They should be sued. 1130 News needs to go back to News 1130 and the Green colouring branding which was clearly identifiable and when they actually had decent ratings. It’s amazing how incompetent the people are running the show from ‘wherever’ they are.
