The pre-edge region of the XANES provides with the information on the local electronic structure at the absorbing Ni atoms in the presence of the core-hole.

2006年4月10日 · We apply the Ni $K$-edge x-ray absorption fine structure analyses to the local electronic and geometric structures around embedded Ni impurities used as catalysts in a carbon nanofiber in combination with multiple scattering analyses. We find almost Ni catalysts as metal particles are removed by the purification treatment.

Namely, the Ni valency and local atomic structure in chemically prepared (CP) alpha-Ni (OH)2, beta-Ni (OH)2, Ni2O3, Ni3O2 (OH)4, beta-NiOOH, gamma-NiOOH, NiO2, and NiKlO6 and ECP gamma-NiOOH. Presented are XANES spectra of Ni k-edge, Fourier transforms of k (exp 3)-weighted Ni K-edge EXAFS, and summary of Ni local structure in some oxycompounds.
