The women's soccer team at WVU has been coached by Nikki Izzo-Brown since the team launched in 1996. West Virginia has qualified for the NCAA Tournament each of the last 16 seasons, making the quarterfinal round twice (2007 and 2015).

In 30 seasons as a head coach, Izzo-Brown has 29 winning seasons and led WVU to 23 consecutive 10-plus win seasons. Additionally, she has earned 13 combined conference and regional coach of the year awards since 2000.
