Accurate Classification of Non-ischemic Cardiomyopathy - PMC
Data sources for accurate classification reference of NICM, including clinical characteristics, pathology, imaging manifestations, genomics and proteomics, etiology, and multimodal deep learning of patients
Management of patients with non‐ischaemic cardiomyopathy
Patients with NICM with left ventricular ejection fraction ⩽35% on medical treatment benefit from an implantable cardioverter‐defibrillator for primary prevention of sudden cardiac death
Distribution of late gadolinium enhancement in various types of ...
We review characteristic CMR features in ischemic and non-ischemic cardiomyopathies (ICM and NICM), especially in terms of the location and distribution of late gadolinium enhancement (LGE). CMR in ICM shows segmental wall motion abnormalities or wall thinning in a particular coronary arterial territory, and the subendocardial or transmural LGE.
Accurate Classification of Non-ischemic Cardiomyopathy
Non-ischemic cardiomyopathy refers to a myocardial disease that excludes coronary artery disease or ischemic injury and has a variety of etiologies and high incidence. Recent studies suggest that traditional classification methods based on primary/mixed/acquired or genetic/non-genetic cannot meet th …
Ventricular arrhythmias in nonischemic cardiomyopathy: Overview
2018年8月28日 · “Nonischemic cardiomyopathy (NICM)” is a myocardial disease which is characterized by ventricular dysfunction without significant coronary artery disease, including coronary spasms. Ventricular tachyarrhythmias are often observed in NICM, which lead to …
Nonischemic Cardiomyopathy - an overview - ScienceDirect
Nonischemic cardiomyopathy (NICMP) encompasses a spectrum of cardiac disorders characterized by impaired myocardial function unrelated to coronary artery disease.
Recent studies suggest that traditional classification methods based on primary/mixed/acquired or genetic/non-genetic cannot meet the precise needs of contemporary clini-cal management. This article systematically describes the history of classifications of cardiomyopathy and presents etio-logical and genetic differences between cardiomyopathies.
Management of patients with non-ischaemic cardiomyopathy
While a minority of cardiomyopathies manifest with preserved systolic function, this article specifically reviews management of NICM manifesting with left ventricular (LV) systolic dysfunction. Many types of NICM are not treatable with specific therapies beyond those used for heart failure in general.
Delayed contrast-enhanced CMR can assist in evaluating functional decline, distinguishing between ischemic and non-ischemic causes of cardiomyopathy, and narrowing the differential diagnosis for NICM based on characteristic enhancement patterns.[4]
Late Gadolinium Enhancement on Cardiac Magnetic Resonance …
2013年12月20日 · Late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) by cardiac MR (CMR) is a predictor of adverse cardiovascular outcomes in patients with nonischemic cardiomyopathy (NICM). However, these findings are limited by single-center studies, small sample sizes, and low event rates.
