At about $800-$1,000+ used, that's still a considerable cost for an F6, and many times as expensive on the used market as the earlier gorgeous professional Nikon film camera bodies. If only using manual focus, not sure if the F6 is that much better.

2021年6月17日 · I recently call Nikon Service Repair in Signal Hill , CA. the supervisor was not able to find the F6 Firmware in the current paperwork. He said I should send the camera to Nikon with instruction to review the firmware version . A tech could determine and update the firmware. If not, they send the camera back.

2016年9月12日 · According to Nikon Dealers, the F6 is no more, production of new models has ceased and those who are lucky enough to buy one new, it will be previously unsold stock. The F6 focussing and exposure is without doubt the pinacle for film cameras. My opinion for mine is virtually faultless on both counts and there is little that it can be improved upon.

2014年10月2日 · Given that even average electronic cameras have it - f6 should too. If you feel the f6 does everything by itself, plonk a manual lens on it,(AI/AI-s etc) and dont shoot in the pre-programmed modes. Do everything manually. (defeats most of the f6 purpose beyond the weatherproofing) You might do better with reading the manual.

2020年7月17日 · Nikon found out in a recent research that a few of the latest F6 (only 152 units) are affected by the new law. The serial numbers are published. The customers of these cameras can contact Nikon and get a new F6 in exchange of the affected one - free of charge - if they want. Even if is out of warranty time.

2023年6月4日 · The F6 is the toughest professional film camera Nikon ever built. I'm sure the Zeiss Ikon is a fun camera, but all I'm saying is that its price on the used market reflects spill over from Leica pricing, not its build quality—which, on the inside, is no better than the Nikon FE10 that you can buy for less than $100.

2015年1月16日 · I am would be very grateful for recommendations for a wide angle, a 35mm, a 50mm lenses for a Nikon F6. I prefer AF but that is not nearly important to me as image quality and character. Price is not a huge factor. Thank you.

2012年9月11日 · From my understanding about the F6 is that the shutter unit and body casting was designed alongside the D2/D3 era cameras, making it quite easy for nikon to keep producing F6's in small amounts. As in 50 per month... Even if the production was over 200 per month for the first few years 34,000 still seems very high.

2023年2月3日 · Nikon made several manual focus screens for the F6. I have the standard screen which came with the camera - which actually I find excellent to manual focus - and the optional one with the diagonal split screen. Check places like ebay, KEH etc for that. Don't mess around with screens that were not meant for the camera.
