2016年1月6日 · The FM3a to me is Nikon's best non-pro camera: fully mechanical if you want it, solid, great viewfinder, light and relatively quick to use. The Leica rangefinders are like an extension of your hand. Even more solid feeling than the Nikon, very smooth, small, quick to use.

2011年6月15日 · The FM3a is significantly newer and likely seen very little use. That is about the only reason to opt for the FM3a. The FE2 would be almost the same as the FM3a except for the mechanical shutter but you would not miss it unless you run out of batteries. I am not sure that the FM3a was a disaster for Nikon.

2024年8月24日 · 1. The FE2 shutter is electronic only and only works at 1/250 if the batteries are dead. The FM3a shutter will work the full range from 1 to 1/4000. 2. The FE2 manual shutter speed is from 8 to 1/4000 while the FM3a manual shutter speed is only from 1 to 1/4000. So if you pay big buck for the FM3a it has to do with its hybrid shutter.

I mostly shoot with my Rolleiflex, but my FM3a is a well-used second shooter. I had a few rolls of Provia to be developed and was dismayed to find that most of the outdoor shots were severely overexposed.

2004年1月19日 · On a recent trip to mammoth cave I took two of these little flashes and my fm3a. What a cool setup. The flashes even work as slaves. My whole setup, fm3a, two sb-30s, and a 50mm f1.4 fit in a waist pack. The meter display in the fm3a is far superior. The fm2n has a simple +o- setup.
