From a new 45-50 MP back-illuminated sensor to a faster EXPEED X image processor, improved autofocus, and 8K video capabilities, the Nikon Z10 camera is poised to be a formidable contender in high-end mirrorless cameras.

This is an update to my previous post: the rumored Nikon Z5II camera is expected to be announced next week on April 2nd (USA time midnight) or April 3rd (Beijing time). The new Nikon Z5II camera will be based on the Nikon Zf and will have some of the tech from the Nikon Z6III.

It is possible that Nikon would stop the major firmware iterations and produce a Z9 II from the next big set of additions to the firmware and a couple of minor hardware tweaks. They'd do that mostly to have something new to announce in the pro realm, not so much that they need to.

I have feeling that soon Nikon will release Nikon Z10. What specs/features you want to see in Z10? p.s. Z8 was announced on May 10, 2023, almost a year ago. Z10 would be a low end APS-C camera if they follow their current nomenclature. But they are probably due for a Z9II in the not too distant future. I doubt they’ll release a flagship this year.

Which Z Camera Will Be Next? The primary candidates: Z30, Z50 II, Z5 II, Z6 III, and Z7 III. The mystery candidates: Z90, Z8, Zf. Anything else seems highly unlikely. So let's consider just the things that would have some likelihood before I present my guess: Z30 — Absolutely prototyped and ready to go into production.
